!Poetry!

Welcome To Poetry As We See It...
It was very interesting reading about all the different forms of poetry. My experience was intrigued and a little let down. I was intrigued because I finally found out and understood a what a paradox is. Though the examples that they used were a little ABC because they seemed like examples for 4th graders.  But if the poems were written harder then people may not understand the meaning as well. Having the definition of the word also helped. There were a lot of links showing the other poetry words. I liked how there words were separated and defined on their own page. Also the quizzes at the end of the words make the experience of understanding the poetry words more memorable. So in all I had a good experience on that website.

Refrigerator Magnet Poetry...
I did not like this one at all. I didn't like it because there was no directions tell me what to do. Also because the words were scrambled around the page. Once you moved something, after the other words would scramble even more which would change something you just wrote. This sight was not helpful with helping me learn anything. The only thing fun about this website is that you could make sentences but it takes too long to find the words to create an alliteration for example. Overall this website was not at all helpful.

Concrete Poetry...
This website was mediocre (hopefully you know what I'm spelling!). It almost had no point except to practice making poems. Though it did give you the definition of a shape poem which is the poem is in the shape of what your'e talking about. After I learned about the shape poem I wanted to learn more but it had no way to see more definitions. The only other button up was the back button and when you click it, it takes you all the way back t the opening page. The website was good though because you could create your own poems about many different themes. Themes such as school and nature as well as other themes you could write about in the shape of your theme. The good thing is that you had a lot of examples to start ideas but it had no where to go after writing the poems. So in all the experience at this website was ok.
My experiences varied depending on how much we, the writers, are able to do. The first one was the best because it was the most helpful. The second website was no help for me at all. Lastly the last website was an ok experience because I could create my own poems but there wasn't much else to do after that. Those were my experiences on the poetry websites.

This Week...

This week was filled with a lot of emotions. In school I was filled with boredom, stress, happiness, and I even cried tears of joy. First I was bored because this week is the last week for the seniors until graduation. My strength class mainly consists of seniors even my strength partner Elise is leaving. The seniors in that class make everything fun instead of stuffy, boring, and smelly. The senior boys play basketball so intense that it was fun to watch. And now all thats over and all we have are two juniors and the rest sophomores and freshman. In backstage theatre we have tests and a little skit to perform. My friends started arguing with  each other because the since they said something about the test, Mr. Gonzales said we will do a skit to learn the words better and get hands on learning. My sister is soon graduating and on her way to college. Which is bitter sweet because I love to see her leave so there are no arguments but I will miss her a lot once she leaves. The house will be so much different without her there. Today May 27th 2011 it was the senior walk. I was so proud of my sister that I started to cry. I cried in her arms but it was funny because I'm gonna see her tonight once we go home. I had tears of joy. I saw everyone coming down the stairs, I was waiting for my sister, and she finally came. Once I saw her I cried, though I was proud of her. But for the moment I just couldn't believe that my sister was all grown up and was going off to college. Though on graduation I know it will hit me the most especially because she's going to the senior all nighter. So this week is dedicated to the seniors graduating 2011. Congratulations Kelloggsville Seniors, your almost there!

Letter To Nurse

Dear Nurse,
Nurse I still can not understand wherefore thou pushed me too into marrying Paris when thou know I most long to be with Romeo. Anon as we speak I am lying a sleep in Friars tomb. I am not dead as everyone thinks but am in a serene place dreaming about my dearest Romeo. Do not be angry with what I have doth for I only do it for my love. Mark what I am saying because this is the last time you shall hear from me. I can not be happy with Paris now that I know that my heart belongs with Romeo. You of everyone should know that my love for Romeo can not stand without my love at my side. So I have decided to run away with Romeo and start a new life. Doing so I have made plans with Friar to do just that. Friar hath given me a sleeping potion that makes me look like I am dead. After the ceremony Romeo is coming hither tonight to take me to Mantua where we will live our lives fain. The Friar will make sure that Rome make it to the church in time when I wake up. We will sneak away in the night together out of sight from anyone. While everyone believes my death I am I am in Mantua with my beloved. I am sorry for the depression I have forced upon you. I hope our paths shall cross again later in life but my life now will reside in Mantua. Good bye for now Nurse.
Love,Juliet

My Thoughts On Blogging...

Blogging is used by people who think they need to tell everyone about whats happening with their life. I don't believe in blogging because not everyone has to see whats going on. Unless there was a death, a baby born, a wedding or something big that happened I don't want to hear about anything else. Blogging is for fake authors. People who want to write about their lives like REAL authors but they know that no one will buy their book for 15 dollars. So they use this excuse for having people read their blogs hoping that someone will like it and encourage them to write their own books. For the record I am only writing a blog for my English Language Arts class. And yet just from this blog I'm dying a little inside. Blogging is Boring!

Boredom in 5th hour!!
